Dr. Jennifer Tucker has been teaching choir for three years in Killeen, and is thrilled to be working in Jarrell ISD with the middle school and high school choirs. Originally from Florida, she went to college at Furman University in South Carolina, then moved to Boston for her masters' degrees from the New England Conservatory of Music.
In 2006, she moved to Texas to start her doctorate at the University of Texas at Austin Her dissertation was on teaching musical theater to middle school and high school students. In addition to her years in the classroom, she has taught private voice lessons within the Georgetown ISD.
Dr. Tucker loves to perform and does so frequently around the greater Austin area. She is a regular onstage at the Georgetown Palace Theater, and has performed in operas in Italy, Austria, France, and England. In her spare time, Dr. Tucker enjoys reading, traveling, and learning new things (this year, it will be finessing her negligible tap dancing skills!).
